Today I can say nothing less than fabulous but growing up in a single parent apostolic household as a biracial child with a mother who had no experience with my hair type was a struggle. I was raised in the Coachella valley where there is not a large demand for stylist who specialize in curly, textured, 4c hair. In short, I had to learn. Though my mom gave her best it was hard to feel confident in two coco puffs on my head everyday all through out my adolescence. As a little girl growing up in an Apostolic Pentecostal church with high standards; painting your nails, coloring your hair, and wearing jewelry was frowned upon. I am forever grateful for the morals and belief system I was raised upon as it crafted me into the women of high values and moral I am today but it wasn’t until the age of 13 when the standards changed and I picked up my first makeup brush. My life changed forever. Since then I’ve had a passion for Hair and Makeup that has now become apart of my identity.
